Do I need an iLok to run the demo?

No. Merely the iLok License Manager needs to be installed. You can uninstall it, if you no longer need it.

Can I also demo Synfire Express?

Yes. Pro and Express editions are both included with the same demo.

Why does the demo go online?

The demo connects to our website only to verify the trial license. No personal information is transmitted. A permanent connection is not necessary. You can go offline once the program is running.

Can I run the demo on a computer not connected to the Internet?

Unfortunately not. We recommend you go online while the demo starts and then go offline again. Alternatively you may want to try the software on another computer that is online.

Is the full product also required to go online?

No. The full version uses an iLok hardware USB key and is thus freely portable across as many computers you want. These computers do not need to be online.

Can I extend my trial period?

Yes, sure! Please request an extension here, after your trial has expired. We are very flexible.
